How to Connect Your Anthropic Account with Definer's AI Source
This guide will walk you through the steps to link your Anthropic account with Definer's AI source, allowing you to make the most of its features.
Step 1: Create an Anthropic Account
Start by visiting the Anthropic Console and signing up for a developer account.
Step 2: Add Credits to Your Account
Before using the API, you'll need to add credits. To do this, click Settings at the top of the screen.
In the left-side menu, select Plans & billing.
By default, new accounts are placed on the Evaluation plan. To change this, click the Select Plan button.
Choose the Build plan, and then click Continue.
You'll be asked to provide some details about yourself and your intended use of the API. After completing the form, you'll need to enter your billing information.
Decide whether to make a one-time payment or enable auto-reload. Auto-reload automatically adds funds when your balance drops below a certain threshold.
Step 3: Create a Claude API Key
While still in the Settings tab, select API keys from the left-side menu.
Click the Create Key button.
Enter a name for your API key and click Create Key to finalize.
Once the key is generated, copy it to a secure location. You won’t be able to see it again after closing the pop-up.
After you close the pop-up, you'll see a list of all the API keys you generated so far. You can disable or delete them by clicking the three-dots icon on the right side.
Step 4: Enter Your API Key into Definer
- Right-click on the Definer icon located next to the address bar, then select "Definer Options".
- Go to the "Sources" page and find the "AI" source in the list.
- Click on "Settings".
- In the "Provider" field, choose "Anthropic".
- Paste your newly created API key into the "API Key" field.
By following these steps, you’ve successfully integrated Anthropic Claude with the Definer popup dictionary browser extension.
